Welcome to our website. We are a small agency, interested in
working with both established authors and new writers. Our
goal for you is successful commercial publication. Come in and

First, we'll tell you a bit of our history. The Pelham Agency is
unique in that it was founded by a writer who was frustrated by
the treatment he had received from agents.
Howard Pelham retired early from teaching in order to pursue
his dream of being a writer of fiction. One year passed before
Howard made his first sale: a short story. Another six months
was to pass before he sold his first novel, "Twelve Wagons
West". Learning the craft of writing commercial fiction was not
easy.
Even more difficult was finding representation for his work.
After being burned by several agents, Howard decided to
teach himself the art of selling a manuscript. He eventually
sold fourteen novels and several short stories. In 1993,
Howard decided that he could do for other writers what he had
done for himself. The Pelham Literary Agency was founded.
